My journey began in 2000 when I enrolled at the Wellness Massage Training Institute in Woodridge IL. I have been practicing massage and bodywork ever since. As a student, I was introduced to the term "doula" and was immediately intrigued. I searched for a way to bring these two worlds together. It wasn't until I had my first son in 2007 and we had a doula of our own that the pieces came together.

In 2008 I pursued my doula certification through ToLabor (formerly ALACE). It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Not only was it life changing, but it was life saving. My second son born in 2010 faced death.

In 2013 I gave birth to my 3rd son & achieved an all natural vbac (vaginal birth after cesarean). My years of experience working with the human body, birthing woman, and trusting the process plays a huge roll in my daily life.

If I did not have my ToLabor training and knowledge of anatomy and physiology, my sons would not be here today. For this, my husband and I are truly grateful. Through my own bodywork and birth experiences, I succumbed to the calling of women, children, and men to provide information, knowledge, and support physically, spiritually, and emotionally.

I am deeply honored to do this work.
